Ty Tatws is one of a small group of cottages nestling in rolling countryside on the fringe of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a short drive from Fishguard, the catherdral city of St Davids and the charming harbour at Solva. Just a few miles away are the sheltered fishing cove of Abercastle and the safe, clean, sandy beaches of Whitesands and Newgale.
Converted from an 18th century barn to provide an extremely comfortable two bedroom holiday cottage, Ty Tatws maintains a unique character with exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, old slate and stone features throughout. The cottage boasts a host of modern facilities and provides a quiet, warm, country-style dwelling with its own southerly aspect garden at the front and private, off-road parking.
Ty Tatws is centrally placed on the peninsular for easy access to numerous beautiful beaches and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, an ideal location from which to explore the many delights this area has to offer, from birdwatching to walking, from excellent surfing and stunning beaches, to fishing or simply taking time out to watch the World go by.
There are excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs throughout the area, alternatively excellent fresh produce can be obtained direct from local suppliers.
The cottage is upside down, creating one large open plan room upstairs with lounge, dining and kitchen areas. This open plan layout with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams provides extremely spacious and comfortable family accommodation.
Downstairs are two sizable bedrooms full of traditional character. The double bedroom includes two single built-in wardrobes and hand basin and is complimented by a large twin bedroom and a modern bathroom. Each bedroom boasts exposed beams and original stonework with recesses in the stone walls lined with slate to create feature shelving and a dressing table.
Upstairs is double glazed throughout, comprising: Lounge with two sofas and chair; Electric wood burner and stone fireplace; Flat screen TV and DVD; Dining area with seating for six; Hand built pine kitchen with electric cooker; washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge and microwave; electric storage heating.
Downstairs is also double glazed throughout, compromising:Bedroom one with double bed; two built in wardrobes, hand basin and a feature dressing table formed from a wall recess ;bedroom two with twin beds and space for a temporary bed or cot if required (not supplied); Bedroom two also offers a door for direct access to the hard standing area to the front of the cottage; Modern bathroom with: bath and shower over; WC, basin and shaver point; heated towel rail and electric heater; Hallway at bottom of stairs with storage space under stairs.
