On the edge of the Pembrokeshire coastal village of Freshwater East, East Trewent Farm is in an idyllic rural setting, just a few minutes' walk from the Pembrokeshire coastal path and the stunning sandy beach at Freshwater. Also nearby is Barafundle Bay, often named as being amongst the best beaches in Britain, picturesque Stackpole Quay and Bosherston Lily Ponds, leading down to Broad Haven beach.

East Trewent Farm is no longer a working farm but a location devoted to providing quiet, restful holidays. We offer self catering and bed and breakfast accommodation in cottages and en-suite bedrooms converted from the original farm outbuildings. Pets are welcome by arrangement in the cottages, though not in the B&B. There's plenty of room for parking, and also storage space for bikes, boats and other outdoor gear.

The accommodation

The Cart House Cottage - sleeps 4. This family sized cottage has an arched entrance which opens into the tiled hallway. On the ground floor is the spacious open-plan living area with three-piece suite, dining area and a well equipped kitchen. The bath and shower room are also on this floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms - a double, with space for a cot, and a twin. Outside is a patio area with outdoor furniture.

The Granary - sleeps 6. This spacious holiday cottage features a full-height living area with wood burner and a separate small galleried sitting area above. There's a well-equipped kitchen adjacent to the dining area and French doors open onto an grassy field with outdoor furniture. The bathroom and one of the double bedrooms, are on the ground floor. On the first floor are two further bedrooms - a double with space for a cot, and a twin.

The Milking Parlour - sleeps 2. This cottage is ideal for a couple. It has a high-ceilinged beamed living area, a fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a spacious bathroom.

Bed and Breakfast - we have two double rooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, and a twin room with en-suite shower room. We also have a single room, ideal for individuals walking the coast path, which has its own shower and WC just a little way along the corridor. Converted from former farm buildings, they open onto the sunny patio where you can relax with a cup of tea or coffee, or even a glass of wine. We offer guests an excellent cooked breakfast using local ingredients.

There are quiet outside seating areas for guests: frequent summer visitors include many swallows, which can be seen nestling in our pretty white washed stone out-buildings. East Trewent Farm was formerly a dairy farm and some features can be seen today including the original medieval cottage thought to have been built some 500 years ago.
