Giant new windfarm with 76 turbines in the South Wales Valleys
Views of the Brecon Beacons peaks from the high ground to the east of the Rhondda Fach valley are going to be heavily impacted by the Pen Y Cymoedd windfarm. By July 2013, eight turbines were in place. When complete, with 76 turbines in three distinct clusters spanning almost 10km, this will the largest inshore wind farm in Europe.
