Boverton, Vale of Glamorgan
On the Glamorgan coast near the villages of Gileston and West Aberthaw, this large power station opened in the early 1970s, and is on the same site as an earlier power station which was completed in 1966. It burns about 5,000 tons of coal daily, two thirds of which is produced in Wales.
