Between Trelewis and Nelson in the Borough of Caerphilly, Llancaiach Fawr is a semi-fortified Tudor manor house dating from 1530 which, until the 1970s, was is use as a farmhouse. Now authentically restored to how it would have been in 1645, complete with authentically dressed servants who speak in the way of the time, the house, garden and visitor centre are open to the public.
