Elidir, one of the former slate mine locomotives, is named after the mountain above Llanberis, in Snowdonia which was mined for slate. Now leading a less arduous life on the Llanberis Lake Railway, this narrow-gauge steam locomotive has just been watered and fired up at Gilfach Ddu station, ready for her journey along Llyn Padarn and back.
