Llanberis, Gwynedd
High Street in the centre of Llanberis. This village at the foot of Snowdon originally served the slate mining industry which prospered in the 19th and first half of the 20th Centuries. Now at the heart of North Wales' tourism industry, it is a hive of activity in season, and - much to the locals' relief! - rather quiet at other times of year.
