Within the walls of Skenfrith Castle the only remaining structure is the keep, a cylindrical tower, or 'Juliet'. Although foundations clearly show where the other buildings stood, much of the stone has been 'acquired' over the years to build houses. This photo is framed by one of the apple trees which were planted around 1914 when safety repairs were carried out.
