The Coach House is a 7 bedroom, 6 bathroom detached property located at the world famous Rockfield Recording Studios. It was purpose built to accommodate the recording artists using the studios but we are now able to offer it as self catering accommodation. It is perfect for large family get togethers, reunion weekends and as a base to explore this South East corner of Wales, the Wye Valley and border area.

All the bedrooms open out from the central sitting/dining area which has a wonderfully warm woodburning stove at its heart. The dining table can be made to sit groups up to 20 people. The fully equipped kitchen has a 5 gas burner with electric oven Range Cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave oven along with enough cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery for over 20 guests.

The 5 en-suite bedrooms are all large enough to accommodate an extra single or z-bed if required. The 2 bedroom suite has a small sitting room with a double sofabed. The property is perfect for people to be together or for everyone to be able to obtain some space if required.

There are only 3 steps in the property linking the sitting to dining areas, we have ramps available to place over these steps if required for wheelchair users. There is also easy access into the property up a small ramp and although the bathrooms aren't set up for full disabled use, the bathroom in the suite (bedrooms 6 and 7) is large enough to fit a wheelchair if required.

The Coach House doesn't have an enclosed garden however there are large lawned areas to the front and side plus a private South West facing patio which gets the sun from noon until sunset during the summer months. There are enough seats and tables to sit 20 guests on the patio as well as 2 charcoal barbecues. The property is surrounded by open meadows and set off the main Monmouth to Rockfield road and yet is only a 15 minute walk into town.

Although a car is necessary we do have excellent local taxi firms as well as bus links to Hereford and Newport (Gwent), the locations of our nearest mainline train stations, both about 25 miles from Monmouth. Bristol and Cardiff are both less than an hours drive with Bath just over an hour and a quarter. Abergavenny and the borders of the Brecon Beacons National Park is 15 miles away with the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley on our doorstep.

This area is renowned for its wonderful restaurants and gastro-pubs including the Walnut Tree near Abergavenny and The Whitebrook in the Wye Valley, each with a Michelin Star. There are vineyards, cider makers and micro-breweries to visit as well as many art galleries and castles. Mountain biking in the Forest of Dean, canoeing down the River Wye as well as walking along our local stretch of the Offas Dyke Path makes this a fabulous area to visit.
