Rhayader, Powys
Storms in early January 2007 were the most ferocious of recent years, cutting off power supplies across Mid Wales. This is about as full as Caban Coch reservoir, in the Elan Valley, can get, transforming the overflow into a vast wind-lashed waterfall.
