Cnwch is the hill above the southern side of Caban Coch reservoir. From its 450 metre peak the views are stunning - east into the rolling Mid Wales lowlands towards Radnor Forest, and west into the Cambrian Hills. Below is the vast watery expanse of Caban Coch reservoir, with, in the distance, the submerged Carreg Ddu dam which carries a road viaduct.
