Opened in January 1895 the Blaenavon Workmen's Hall and Institute was financed by weekly contributions from the town's iron workers and miners, and originally housed the town's library. Now run by a team of local volunteers, it is Blaenavon's main venue, housing a cinema, snooker hall, large auditorium and a bar.
