Cefn Croes windfarm stands on a mountain plateau above the Ystwyth Valley near Cwmystwyth. This is the UK's most powerful onshore windfarm, producing enough power for 42,000 homes from 39 turbines which are up to 100m high. It is operated by Falck Renewables, and was opened in June 2005.
