Brecon town centre and the Beacons

This view looking south across the centre of Brecon is taken from the high walls which surround the cathedral. Dominating the centre of the town is the 90ft high red sandstone tower of St Mary's Church. Beyond, the foothills of the Brecon Beacons rise quickly from the valley floor, and the ridge of Allt Ddu [562m] is just visible.
