Dating from the 9th century, St Andrew's Church in Presteigne stands close to the River Lugg which now marks the border between England and Wales. Damaged during the Norman Conquests, it was rebuilt incorporating the original north aisle, and enlarged in the 12th and 13th centuries. More recently - in 1868 - it was restored using funds provided by local landowner Sir Richard Green-Price.
