Low cloud obscures the ridge of Cader Idris in this moody view across the larger of the two Cregennan lakes. Owned by the National Trust, the lakes are on the northern flank of Cader Idris, above the village of Arthog and the Mawddach Estuary. This is a popular fishery, stocked with blue and rainbow trout and also home to wild brown trout. Permits can be purchased at the farmhouse. Cregennan is also a wonderful place for walking.
