The quarrying industry on the Pembrokeshire coast between Abereiddy and Porthgain has left plenty of reminders of its presence, even though it came to an end almost 80 years ago. On the cliffs about a quarter of a mile from Porthgain, just above the granite quarry, stand the walls and floors of brick sheds which would have housed winding engines.
