As the sign by the giant worm slide says, 'All living things can be composted, even you!'. It is an alternative route - for smaller visitors only! - to the composting displays. Compost is particularly important at the Cenre for Alternative Technology, as the site is in an old slate quarry with a slate and dust floor, and no natural soil.
