Looking west along Claerwen. The largest of the Elan Valley reservoirs - which supply water for the West Midlands - Claerwen holds almost as much water as the other three reservoirs together. Opened by Queen Elizabeth in 1957, Claerwen has a dam which is 355m wide and 56m high.
