Breakwater Country Park is a haven for wildlife which now occupies the 106 acres of Holyhead Mountain which were used as a stone quarry for Holyhead breakwater, and, following its completion in 1875, became a brickworks. The brickshed and 'crusher building' are all that remains on this previously industrial site, which remained in use until 1975.
