Point of Ayr lighthouse stands on the beach near Talacre. Built in 1776, and inactive since 1883, this brick tower of 18 metres is surrounded by water at high tide. Maintained by Flintshire County Council, the lighthouse is in a good state of repair, but is not open to the public.
