Monmouth, South Wales, is not on the coast. However, a bequest from Lady Llangattock was used to establish the Nelson Museum in 1924, home to a large collection of material relating to Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, Britain’s most celebrated naval commander, who died in the Battle of Trafalgar in October 1805.
