Gaer Cottage

Gaer Cottage is the perfect place for those looking to explore Mid Wales, located in Hundred House 4 ½ miles from the market town of Builth Wells, where yo will find coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. It is also home to the Royal Welsh Showground which hosts a variety of shows over the year including the Spring Festival and the Royal Welsh Show in July. There are also plenty of animal shows throughout the year such as dog and horse events.

For those wanting to take in the countryside, Elan Valley is 21 miles from the property and has some outstanding views of the reservoirs and dams. This lovely area has outstanding beauty and is perfect for walking, fishing and mountain biking. There are lots of places of interest to visit such as the Brecon Beacons National Park. Visit Brecon Town with its historical St. Mary's Church and quaint coffee shops. For those more adventurous, climb to the top of Pen Y Fan and look at the fabulous rolling countryside that Wales has to offer. Once you have returned to the cottage after your day out, relax in the private hot tub with something chilled.

First floor: Bedroom 1 with three single beds and en-suite with shower over bath, and toilet. Bedroom 2 with two single beds and en-suite with shower over bath, and toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi included. Welcome pack. Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out-area, garden furniture and barbecue. Hot tub for 6 (private). Private parking.

The location

Only miles from the Royal welsh show ground at Llanelwedd and Builth Wells. 8 miles from Llandrindod wells and a short drive to Rhayader and Elan Valley.

From Builth Wells: Take the A483 towards Llandrindod Wells. At Llanelwedd turn right onto the A481 towards Hundred House. Straight over at round a bout. Turn left in approx 2 miles signposted Gaer Farm B&B. Follow brown B&B signs to farm.

From Llandrindod Wells: Take the A483 towards Builth Wells. At Howey turn left signposted Hundred House. Follow the road, past the sawmill, until you come to a sharp right bend, then a T junction (on a sharp left bend). Take the right turn (straight ahead) & follow the road until you see Gaer Farm B&B brown sign, follow these to farm.
