On the outskirts of Llithfaen, one of the highest villages on the Llŷn Peninsula, Gors-lŵyd Cottage is a two bedroom detached holiday cottage, sleeping up to four people. Set in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the southern slopes of the majestic Yr Eifl, which is also a National Nature Reserve. Both Yr Eifl and the ancient hillfort of Tre'r Ceiri are only a short walk away from your door. Within easy reach are the beaches of the Llŷn Peninsula, and the castles of North Wales.

The accommodation

Gors-lŵyd is a traditional cottage with modern facilities. You'll find all you will need for an amazing holiday. Enjoy a well equipped cook's kitchen so you can cook all your gourmet meals. A Rangemaster dual fuel cooker, Smeg fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, loads of gadgets, dishwasher, washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Walk from the kitchen and relax in the light, spacious open plan lounge/dining room with open beams, woodburning stove and dining area with freesat TV, Blu-ray/DVD player and music system connection, and unlimited wifi. The lounge opens onto a large patio area and private extensive gardens.

The modern bathroom includes bath, electric shower and a heated towel rail and is also located on the ground floor.

The first bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and feature fireplace, and overlooks the large gardens with views towards Pwllheli and Harlech.

The second bedroom also overlooks the garden and includes two single beds. A cot(s) and/or toddler bed is available on request.

Outside is a private patio area with table and chairs, a gas barbecue and outdoor games, and your own large private gardens with small pond - and then mountains are right there on your doorstep.

You can while away the hours or recapture your pool-hall days in our large detached games room. It has a full-size pool table, full-size table football and dartboard. For the children, there is a pool table, table tennis, air hockey and table football. There is a music system with a selection of CDs. There is also a small kitchen area with a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. It's ideal for those rainy days (well, it is Wales!) or a games night with the family.

Llithfaen is within easy reach of the beaches of the Llŷn Peninsula, as well as the castles of North Wales. And while you're in North Wales, take a trip up Mount Snowdon, a ride on the world-famous Ffestiniog steam railway and visit the famous slate caverns and slate museums.
