Llwyn Mafon Isaf Farmhouse

Set on a working beef and sheep farm near Criccieth, Llwyn Mafon Isaf offers comfortable, peaceful bed and breakfast accommodation with unspoilt views over Cardigan Bay and the mountains of Snowdonia.

The accommodation

We have a three guest rooms - a double/superking/twin and small double/single - all of which have en-suite shower rooms, freeview tv, drinks making facilities and wifi internet access. We welcome children, and can provide an additional folding single bed or travel cot in your room.

Start your day with a freshly made hearty breakfast, produced using local ingredients where possible, in the dining room.

Our guest lounge is in typical farmhouse style, with beamed ceiling and a woodburner in the old stone fireplace.

Ffion has a basket full of local books, walking books, maps, coastal maps, snowdon map routes to lend for the day is visitors wish. Also can dry coats and boots if you've caught the rain during the day. Plus fridge you can use to keep milk, wine etc.

The location

We have a flock of 500 sheep and 90 suckler cow herd, and daily farm life continues around the guests. Every day is a different day at our farm which visitors are welcome to watch what's going on. If you're lucky during your stay you can watch the boys bring the sheep in with the sheepdogs from our garden or join in. Watch the shearing, silage making depending on the season. You are welcome to bring your wellies/walking boots and walk up the fields to see the magnificent views of sea and mountains. Exit the fields up the wooden stile from the visitor's garden.

Places to visit nearby include the beautiful valleys of Cwm Pennant and Cwm Ystradllyn, Eisteddfa fishery at Pentrefelin, the coastal town of Criccieth, Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways, Criccieth golf course, the harbour town of Porthmadog and the Italianate village of Portmeirion.

Travel info

We are situated on the A487 Caernarfon/Porthmadog road. Good acces from main road.
