Talybont-on-Usk, Powys
Below the dam at Talybot Reservoir is the treatment works where the water is cleaned before being piped down the Usk Valley to Newport. In the old turbine house is the 'Talbont Turbine', an efficient electricity generator which provides about a quarter of the power used by the village of Talybont-on-Usk, feeding any excess into the National Grid.
