Started in 1923 and completed in 1939, Talybont Reservoir is at the eastern end of the Brecon Beacons about 2 miles south of Talybont-on-Usk. It supplies water for the city of Newport in south east Wales. This shot shows the valve tower which stands half way along the dam.
