A narrowboat, 'Beaumaris Castle' owned by Castle Narrowboats of Gilwern, slows as it approaches the night's mooring on the canal at Talybont-on-Usk. At the foot of the eastern end of the Brecon Beacons, the quiet village of Talybont-on-Usk is a popular overnight stop for boats on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. It has three pubs - two directly by the canal - and a local shop.
