Old Great House is a sympathetically renovated 16th century farmhouse with an electric hot tub. Situated on a working farm in Mid Wales approximately 7 miles from Builth Wells and is a perfect base for walking and exploring Mid Wales.

The accommodation

Old Great House forms part of our accommodation (we also have 3 glamping pods). It sleeps up to 10 people and has it's own electric hot tub.

It retains many of its original features, including an Inglenook fireplace, some oak floors and panelling and oak beams and low ceilings in some places (especially the master bedroom).

Old Great House has been converted to provide a high standard of accommodation. It comprises:

- Five bedrooms - (1 super king, 1 king, 2 doubles and a twin room).

- Two bathrooms with shower, shaver point, wc and wash hand basins. One bathroom has a beautiful roll top bath.

Old Great house has central heating and a large wood burning stove in the lounge to keep you cosy on cooler nights. The lounge also has a large inglenook fireplace.

There is a second lounge area with seating, a desk and games for you to use.

Old Great House has a fully equipped kitchen with Range cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The kitchen also has a large oak dining table with 10 chairs.

It also has a large private garden area which catches the afternoon and evening sun with decking, seating area and custom made fire pit/barbecue.

There is ample, safe off road parking for vehicles.

The Barn is fully furnished and well equipped. Duvets and pillows and bed linen and towels (including dark towels for the hot tub) are provided.

The location

Old Great House is located at the heart of Mid Wales, giving easy access to all of the best of Mid Wales. There are also lovely walks from the door of the property to Garth Hill and on Llandeilo Hill.

The closest shops are about 7 miles away in Builth Wells and the local pub is only a mile away.

The working farm is set within its own land and is just off a small road giving the ideal setting for an unforgettable holiday. Add to this Llandeilo Hill on the doorstep, and it's ideal for those who wish to walk, cycle, bird watch, fish and pony trek to name but a few of the activities on offer locally.

Also situated within 10 minutes Great House there are two golf courses at Rhosgoch and Builth Wells.
