This recent barn conversion is stylishly furnished and superbly equipped. Set in peaceful countryside, with stunning views over the Wye Valley to the Radnor Hills beyond, it stands in a large, enclosed garden which has outdoor furniture and a barbecue.

The accommodation

The living room is a light and airy space with a central woodburner and two sets of French doors so you can enjoy the views.

The fitted kitchen has a quarry-tiled floor. It has a built-in oven, electric hob, and integrated fridge and dishwasher. The freezer and washing machine are in the adjacent utility room.

The dining, with large dining table and eight chairs, area adjoins the kitchen.

Also on the ground floor is a wheelchair-accessible wet room and a double bedroom.

Upstairs are two double bedrooms, each with their own en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom, and the family bathroom.

The ground floor has underfloor heating, and upstairs there are radiators.

The location

The cottage is just two miles from the town of Builth Wells which is perhaps best known as the venue for the annual Royal Welsh Show. Builth has shops, take-aways, several pubs and cafés, a Co-op supermarket and two filling stations, one of which is open until 11pm.

Our area

Dan-yr-Eglwys is perfectly situated for exploring the wonderful countryside and landscapes of Mid Wales. Continue south on the winding B-road across the Eppynt and you will soon be greeted with a stunning panoramic view of the Brecon Beacons. Follow the Wye Valley south to the secondhand book capital Hay-on-Wye, or north to the Elan Valley. You certainly won't run out of things to do.

A holiday cottage suitable for all generations, family get togethers, birthday and celebration parties. Great base for walking, bird watching or using as a base for exploring Mid Wales and further afield. Convenient for events at the Royal Welsh Showground.
