Llwynfor is a large luxurious property 4 miles from Aberdaron with the most fantastic far-reaching views over coast and countryside. An ideal house for large groups of friends or extended family to celebrate a special occasion. Visitors can relax in the large covered hot tub whilst looking out over Eryri and Cardigan Bay with a glass of prosecco.

The accommodation

Llwynfor is spacious, modern and well-equipped. An ideal house for a get-together, it stands in its own spacious grounds, where there's plenty of parking space, and several sitting areas. The house has a commanding position overlooking Porth Neigwl (Hells Mouth) and enjoying panoramic views of the peninsula.

The large kitchen with its' patio doors makes the most of this glorious outlook and is equipped to comfortably meet the needs of a large group with two ovens, a large induction hob, two dishwashers, a larder fridge and larder freezer, plus a microwave, coffee machine, 2 toasters, 2 kettles and plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery. The large dining table will comfortably seat a full house of guests, and the large granite topped island can be used as a serving area or breakfast bar. If you don't fancy cooking at all, then hire a private chef to cook for you whilst you relax with a glass of wine. The patio doors open out onto a large patio area where you'll find outdoor seating to further enjoy the view.

A large sitting room shares a double fronted log burner with the kitchen and provides additional social space for families and friends. All kindling and firewood are provided for your stay.

A second spacious sitting room provides further space to relax and unwind.

Also on the ground floor is a family bedroom with en suite wet room. Its patio doors take full advantage of the sea view and open out onto the garden.

An utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer as well as family wet room are also to be found on the ground floor.

The first floor provides another four bedrooms, shower room and family bathroom. Two king size rooms, one double room and one twin room have differing views be it the expanse of sea that is cardigan bay or the purples and greens of the mountain of Rhiw.

On the second floor you'll find a twin bedroom, a shower room and a snug with tv.

If all this isn't enough then enjoy the spacious games room with table tennis, darts board, air hockey, pool table and football table or you may prefer the large covered hot tub offering lovely sea and mountain views. A large gas BBQ complements the offering and there is also an EV charger on site.

The location

Llwynfor proudly stands on the mountain of Rhiw above Porth Neigwl, a long mile beach which is a surfers paradise. Below the house is the National Trust's Plas yn Rhiw, a small manor house once owned by the Keating sisters and offers a marvellous tea room and sheltered gardens well worth a visit. As well as having the coastal path on the doorstep the mountain also provides miles of meandering tracks through the gorse culminating in the most captivating views of the whole of the peninsula.

Top Cat provides boat trips for amateur fishermen or sightseers and you can taste the catch of the day in the Top Cat cafe within walking distance of Llwynfor. Sit outside enjoying a lobster salad or crab sandwich knowing your food has been sourced on the doorstep.

Four miles away is the village of Aberdaron with its beach and various cafes and pubs. Here you'll find a bakery with thatched roof - Becws Islyn and the National Trust Centre at Porth y Swnt. The beautiful church of St Hywyn overlooks the beach and boat trips to Ynys Enlli set off from Porth Meudwy. Whether you just want to buy your daily newspaper, stroll along the beach or eat fish and chips near the river - you must visit this pretty village which has changed little since the days of the pilgrims stopping for refreshments on their way to Ynys Enlli.

Our area

The Llyn Peninsula, North Wales, is one of the most unspoilt parts of Wales, with plenty of wild countryside and a wonderfully varied coastline. The coastal path provides an opportunity to explore the whole perimeter of the peninsula, enjoying unrivalled views of hidden coves and sandy beaches. If you're lucky, you may see a dolphin or seal. If you prefer to put your feet up and relax on a sun lounger, then visit the golden sands of Abersoch, Aberdaron, Nefyn, Llanbedrog, Porth Neigwl, Towyn, Penllech, Ysgo, Porth Iago, Pwllheli, Porthor - you really are spoilt for choice. For the more adventurous try surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, coasteering. Boat trips to the mystical Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) start from Aberdaron - follow in the footsteps of the pilgrims to the resting place of twenty thousand saints according to myths and legends. Boat trips around St Tudwals Isands at Abersoch or fishing trips are also an option.

Golfers will also be spoilt for choice, with courses at Abersoch, Pen-y-Berth, Nefyn and Pwllheli.

Nant Gwrtheyrn, Plas Glyn y Weddw, Porth y Swnt, Plas y Rhiw and the Maritime Museum at Nefyn are all worth a visit and within a short drive of the property.

An hour's drive takes you to Caernarfon Castle, Cricieth Castle, Eryri and Yr Wyddfa, Zip World or Portmeirion. Train enthusiasts will enjoy the Welsh Mountain Railway or you may enjoy a visit the slate caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog or even the Caernarfon Air Museum.

Travel info

Travel on the A499 from Pwllheli to Llanbedrog. Turn left to join the B4413 towards Aberdaron. Fork left at Mynytho and you'll reach Llwynfor in miles. Plenty of parking space for numerous cars.
