We are situated in a beautiful location in North Pembrokeshire, 3 miles from the historic market town of Cardigan in West Wales. We are near the coast, a short distance from the award winning beach at Poppit Sands, the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Cardigan Bay for dolphin watching and the spectacular Preseli Hills. Three National Parks can be visited from here.
The exceptionally maintained cottages have been sympathetically renovated from the original farm's dairy and barns and many of the oak beams have been retained giving each cottage a very cosy atmosphere.
The seven cottages vary in size from romantic with beautifully draped king size four poster bed to spacious, accommodating large families or groups and are ideal for family celebrations. Bed and breakfast is also available.
This area of Wales offers a wide variety of scenery and attractions including many sandy beaches and coves - where seals and dolphins are seen regularly, coastal and inland walking, bird watching, fishing, crafts, activities such as horse riding, golf, canoeing, boat trips etc.
The cottages can be booked Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday but arrival and departure dates can be varied, please contact us. Short breaks are available from September to mid July.
Just three miles away is the glorious sandy beach, Poppit Sands, which has won a prestigious Seaside Beach Award. The National Trust beach at Penbryn is also not far away, where you can relax on the sand while the children hunt amongst the rock pools, for giant crabs or search the caves for pirate treasure. And not forgetting the beautiful cove at Mwnt (also belonging to the National Trust) which has also won a Seaside Beach Award for the past three years and is a favourite stop for our resident school of dolphins. This summer the dolphins have been sighted regularly with their young and some of our visitors have even spotted leatherback turtles too.
Craft workshops and art galleries abound in Pembrokeshire, while for those who enjoy a bit of activity try the 18 hole golf course at Gwbert on sea or pony trekking and lessons four miles away in Bridell.
For a day out try Picton castle in Haverforwest, or the National Trust gardens at Colby (near Tenby) which are fabulous right through to the end of Autumn. Or maybe you just want to relax on the garden in front of your cottage with a glass of wine. Your children will love meeting Yorkie and Galaxy, our adorable shetland ponies and will enjoy our "bunny cuddling" time and feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs.
