The Real Ale Cottage is the perfect place to stay if you are coming to the area for one of the many events held in Llanwrtyd Wells, but equally if you are simply looking for comfortable, well-equipped self catering accommodation from which to explore the outstanding beauty of the largest remaining area of wilderness in England and Wales, often referred to as the ‘Welsh Lake District’.
Situated at the heart of the smallest town in Britain, in the same quiet courtyard as the Heart of Wales Brewery (hence the name), the cottage is directly behind the Neuadd Arms Hotel - the brewery tap - in the centre of the town.
The hotel is open all day, seven days a week, offering tasty home cooked food and, of course, a wide selection of real ales, so if you don't feel like cooking after your day out, no problem.
The cottage has three bedrooms - a double, a twin and a single with bunk beds, all with built-in wardrobes.
Logs are provided for your use, though the cottage has full central heating if you do not feel like making the effort.
Off the dining room is a separate entrance hall and downstairs cloakroom with WC.
Mobile phone signal is poor in the cottage, but there is a landline so that you can be contacted should you wish. The cottage also has complimentary wifi.
The fully fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine, with a gas hob, microwave and electric double oven.
The upstairs bathroom has bath, wc, washbasin and a spacious shower enclosure.
Pets are allowed, but must be kept downstairs at all times. There is a £15 charge per pet for the week.
