Welcome to Sunnyside. Set in glorious countryside, this seven bedroom modernised farmhouse sleeps up to 10 and is ideal for families small and large. Group reunions, same sex groups and children are welcome.
The cottage has seven bedrooms - five doubles one of the doubles is now a family room with a child's small bed and two single rooms. All beds will be made up ready for your arrival.
There are two bathrooms: upstairs a bathroom with toilet, bath and basin, and a separate toilet and basin room. Downstairs a shower room with toilet, shower and basin.
The kitchen which has recently been modernised is equipped with an electric oven, hob, dish washer, washing machine, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner and a wide range of utensils and equipment.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining room where there is a stunning banquet table to seat 10 people.
The dining area is a light airy room with ample space for you to eat your meals. It also has has an electric fire, fridge, freezer and microwave and storage for your food and drink.
Utility room has plenty of space for boots, coats etc.
The lounge area has very comfortable sofas, with plenty of room for up to 10 adults to chat and sit together.
Double glazing throughout, oil central heating in all rooms with thermostatic controls on most radiators, plus two electric fires for those cosy nights in.
A welcoming pack awaits you, also bedding, electricity, oil central heating and wifi internet access are included in price. Please bring own towel and bedding for cot is not supplied
Next to the cottage we have many large open fields for children, pets and families to enjoy the freedom to run around and enjoy wonderful views of animals grazing in the sunshine.
Why not take advantage of our brilliant footpaths that run right beside the cottage and enjoy the untouched surroundings.
Just a two minute stroll you could enjoy a relaxing afternoon fishing in the local river 'Yscir', where trout are often seen, alongside otters playing amongst the beautiful rapids.
The market town of Brecon is adjacent to the Brecon Beacons National Park where a host of wildlife can be found, perfect for nature lovers with rabbits, badgers and foxes in abundance and hares playing in the fields. Brecon is 5 miles away, whilst the sandy beaches of the Gower Peninsula are a an hour's drive. The owners have an extensive knowledge of the local area for those on foot, bicycle or horseback. Cardiff, capital of wales with its beautiful castle and large shopping centre is only an hour's drive over the Beacons.
There is a farmers produce market every second saturday of the month. Builth Wells, home of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, is a 20 minute drive.
Builth Wells, Abergavenny, Hay-on-Wye, Llandovery, all market towns, and Merthyr Tydfil with its viaduct, all within half an hour's drive.
To make life a lot easier, why not pre-order your groceries and have them delivered by Asda or Waitrose to your front door.
Nearby country pubs offering good home cooking include The Three Horseshoes in Groesffordd, The Royal Oak in Pencelli, The George, The Wellington, Bishops Meadow, all close to Brecon, to name just a few. There are Chinese and Indian take-aways in Brecon. Our local pub, The Pwllgloyw Arms, also offers food and is just a 10 minute drive.
