The Tower is a family-run hotel with restaurant and bar in the Mid Wales town of Talgarth, at the foot of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Set amongst some of the most beautiful scenery, The Tower Hotel is only 6 miles from Hay-on-Wye, and 10 miles from Brecon.
Built in 1873 for the gentleman farmers attending Talgarth's livestock market, which still exists, The Tower Hotel retains many or its original Victorian features and has been sympathetically updated with modern conveniences. It has a public bar, restaurant with Sunday Carvery and bar meals, games area, five large bedrooms and parking for guests.
Accommodation
There are five bedrooms at the Tower Hotel. All are individually decorated and maintained to a high standard. Fresh towels are provided with a daily clean of each room.
All rooms have TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Shower cream and shampoos are also provided.
All rooms have fitted carpets, central heating and there's constant piping hot water available.
Check-in from is 2pm on arrival day, and rooms must be vacated by 11am on the departure day.
All room rates include breakfast, comprising of cereal, fruit juice, toast and preserves and a full cooked breakfast with tea or coffee.
All Bedrooms are En-Suite
The Restaurant and Bar can accommodate wheelchair users (disabled acess and toilet). We pride ourselves on providing good, home cooked food. The Sunday Carvery served 12-2.30 is very popular - booking is advised.
Packed lunches are also available upon request at £6 per person and include a cold drink. You can order a packed lunch instead of breakfast at no extra charge.
