The Farmers Arms was built in the 1850s and until 50 years ago it was a public house. It is ideal for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Located in a small village on the north west tip of Gower. Ideal for 2 families or small groups of friends.
The accommodation can be used as two separate cottages or together, accommodating 9. This modernised, traditional cottage has the benefit of propane gas central heating and hot water, double glazing, and is fully furnished, with a full range of kitchen equipment, utensils etc.
Backing on to farmland, the unspoilt Broughton and Whitford beaches are a 5 minute drive away and the Whitford Burrows National Trust conservation area is a mere 5 minute walk away. There are many public footpaths, offering spectacular views.
The sitting room is furnished with two sofas, occasional furniture, TV, DVD player and log burning stove. There is a separate dining room with table and chairs and occasional table/stand. The entrance to the kitchen is off the dining room; the kitchen is fully equipped with storage units, electric cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven and washing machine.
There are three bedrooms, all with storage space; a double room with wash handbasin, with a small nursery or box room leading from it, which contains a cot; a twin room, and a single room. The twin and double have stripped oak floors. The single room has fine views to the rear over the Estuary and coast towards Pembrey.
The bathroom has been fitted with shower and bath, toilet and wash basin.
Gas central heating - all hot water/heating is included in the price. Cot and highchair provided. No pets. Duvets on beds. No smoking. Sleeps 5.
Bed linen is not provided but can be arranged at a small extra charge.
Outside there is a surfaced forecourt area, with ample parking for a number of vehicles. And at the back of the house there's a private garden, with patio and garden furniture.
The self-contained Annexe has two bedrooms, and sleeps 4. It is available separately or with the main house, sleeping 9 together.
The Annexe has a kitchenette, dining area and living area with log burning stove downstairs. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and gallery landing, with bunk beds, and a separate bathroom.
Both properties are available on a weekly basis all year round, or for long weekends during the winter.
Llanmadoc is a small, friendly village on the north west coast of Gower, approximately 15 miles from Swansea, and a 4 hour drive from London. The village has a shop and public house.
The Gower is a great place for holidays - there's so much to explore and enjoy in this beautiful area. Walking, windsurfing, pony trekking, golf, fishing, cycling are just a few of the activities available, and if you're keen on wildlife and bird spotting you won't be disappointed.
