Approached via a leafy lane and just 20 minutes from the end of the M4. The area is known as The Garden of Wales having the National Botanic Garden and Aberglasney House and Gardens just a short drive away. Llanstephan beach and Castle is just 25 minutes away. Brechfa Forest bike trails are a short distance away.
There is a log burner for your comfort as well as underfloor heating. Enjoy peace and comfort of the highest quality and cleanliness where you will enjoy a slower pace of life from the Black Mountains to the golden beaches. This area has inspired artists and photographers with its abundance of wild life history and landscapes. An ideal place to relax and, when it's dark, to watch the stars.
The property comprises of a large living room/dining area which is 35 foot long with a cosy wood burner for those cooler evenings with patio doors leading to the patio and garden and stunning panoramic views of the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside from your armchair. There is a flat screen TV and free Wifi. The sitting room is approached via 6 steps from the kitchen. The dining table has seating for 9.
The kitchen with original exposed beams is fully equipped with everything you should require during your stay.
There are four comfortable bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a king size bed with it's own shower room down a small flight of stairs which also contains a WC and wash basin.
A double bed in the second bedroom.
The third bedroom has three single beds.
A further single bed is in the fourth bedroom where an extra bed can be put should it be needed.
There is also the main bathroom with bath (shower taps) WC and wash basin
There is a mezzanine gallery (with airing cupboard) overlooking the sitting room and dining area. Bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.
There is a large enclosed garden with garden furniture set mainly to lawn at the front of the property with panoramic views of the tranquil valley below and outstanding countryside. Seated here you can enjoy your morning coffee and soak up the views and beautiful sounds of the birds and wildlife; hedgehogs, herons, rabbits and more. The red kites are a spectacular sight to see, and listen out for the woodpeckers.
The Barn is situated between the Brecon Beacons in one direction and the glorious beaches of South West Wales on the other with scenic views of the mountains and valley below from the garden.
Only a few miles from the property is the quaint tourist town of Llandeilo, it's one of the prettiest towns in Wales, a charming place with friendly locals, superb inns and an interesting range of shops. The National Trust owned Newton House and Dinefwr castle are here.
A few miles in the other direction is the market town of Carmarthen with independent shops selling local produce and gifts, antique shops, lovely cafes and restaurants.
There are many well-known local attractions and the property overlooks Dryslwyn Castle and Paxton's Tower both just a short drive away. There are also large popular attractions like Oakwood Theme Park, Bluestone, the Blue lagoon, Folly Farm, Tenby, Pembrey Country Park are all around within an hour's drive away.
