The Hop Garden at Kingstone Brewery, Chepstow is a unique glamping site which provides six unforgettable places to stay. All of our accommodations have fire-pits, where you can cook over open fires and sit in the evenings toasting marshmallows. The meadows surrounding the Hop Garden are full of wildlife including deer, rabbit, pheasants and badger. The Hop Garden is adjacent to award winning Kingstone Brewery.
Guests are staying at a real working micro brewery on site where many different types of beer are brewed. Tours are available on request which include some tasting. There is also the shop, where you can buy yourself a fine selection of Kingstone Brewery samples. Regular events are held in the Tap Room, Including the wood fired pizza nights which accompany the range of ales sold at the bar. In the summer you can sit outside in the Mediterranean style courtyard, surrounded by figs and grape vines. The Hop Garden also hosts weddings and parties.
Also run directly from the site is Wye Valley Experience, which offers a number of organised and bespoke outdoor events throughout the year. Bikes are also available for one hour, half day or full day hire.
This little log cabin is by far the cutest. Wander up the hill to a secluded spot and into your enclosed garden, where you can sit and ponder the treetops and hills popping up over the fence. Beyond the beautiful split stable door is an antique pine kitchen and a cabin bed which you can snuggle up in with the fire lit. On rainy days you'll be thankful that your hot shower is ensuite.
The Hop Garden at Kingstone Brewery, Cheptow is located in the heart of the Wye Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The River Wye is only a few hundred metres from the meadow where the accommodations are located.
The Wye Valley and Forest of Dean have a huge number of activities for the adventurous and not so adventurous. From climbing up the steep cliffs along The River Wye to sitting in one of the traditional country pubs drinking a glass of Prosecco or of course a Kingstone ale! Canoeing, Kayaking and wild swimming are one of the main outdoor activities. You can canoe all along the Wye, finding secluded beaches and swimming in the clear water. Wildlife abounds including Kingfishers, salmon, otters and of course the famous wild boar. You may wake up to find deer walking through our meadows.
River and pond fishing is all available in close proximity to the Hop Garden. There are also some amazing castles along the valley. The Offas Dyke Walk and Wye Valley Walk can be joined easily from Tintern. The woods are filled with bluebells in the Spring and streams run everywhere though the zip line at the National Dive Centre in Chepstow is one of the largest in the country.
The local pubs and restaurants serve good ales and delicious seasonal food. The highlight of your stay could be a visit to The Michelin starred Whitebrook Restaurant is a short drive from Tintern.
