Blaenpant is a detached two bedroom bungalow in the quiet village of Mynydd-y-Garreg, between Llanelli and Carmarthen in the heart of the West Wales countryside. The nearest town is the historic town of Kidwelly, which is about a mile and a half away. It has a supermarket, café, fish and chip shop, Indian and Chinese take aways, tea rooms, launderette, as well as some nice family pubs.

The property comprises of:

Two bedrooms - a double and a twin.

Bathroom with shower above bath.

New fitted kitchen with washing machine, cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, ironing facilities.

Dining Room with table and 4 chairs.

Cosy lounge with two and three seater leather suite, tv, video and dvd player.

For all bookings, the bungalow rental includes all bedding, towels and tea towels, electricity and oil fired central heating.

There is a good size garden, mainly lawned with garden furniture and enough parking space for 3 cars in the driveway next to the house.


If its sand and sea your after Blaenpant makes a great base for a holiday. Within 5 miles of the bungalow there are the beaches of Ferryside (where many say Under Milk Wood was set) and St Ishmaels. Close by is the Pembrey Country Park with 8 miles of sandy beach offering horse riding, pitch and putt, a dry ski slope, toboggan run, miniature railway, falconry displays, woodland walks and adventure playgrounds.

For the motor sport fanatic the Welsh Motor Sport Pembrey Centre is situated 4 miles away which offers a varied programme of races throughout the season as well as the Babs museum of speed at Pendine.

If you want to travel further afield, within a half hour drive you have the historical market town of Carmarthen and Llanelli with its newly developed Millennium Coastal Park. An hours journey will take you to Swansea, the Mumbles and the Gower with their numerous beautiful beaches to the East and Tenby, Amroth, Saundersfoot, Dylan Thomass boat house in Laugharne and Oakwood Theme Park to the West to name but a few.

The property is also in an ideal position for:

Walkers with plenty of local walks, coastal walks and public footpaths to explore.

Cyclists- with the Kidwelly to Llanelli section of the Celtic Trail nearby, which had a favourable write up in The Times.

Golfers with the Ashburnham golf course in Llanelli, courses in Camarthen, BurryPort, Glynhir, Garnant, and the 18 hole course under 2 miles away in Carway.

Historians - Kidwelly, Llanstephan, Laugharne, Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen castles are all a short drive away with both Maes Gwenllian battle field and the Kidwelly Industrial museum within walking distance.

For the keen gardeners amongst you the National Botanical Garden of Wales is less than 12 miles away.


We ask guests to confirm their booking with a deposit of £50 on each week booked, upon receipt of which we will confirm your holiday in writing. The balance of your holiday is payable a month before your arrival date. A discount of £50 will be given on bookings of 2 consecutive weeks during peak seasons. We also request an extra £10 per week per pet.
