The Mill

Set amongst meadows and woodland, Pant-y-Cosyn Farm is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The woodlands follow the meandering course of Mounton Brook, and have been fenced to attract and preserve the wildlife that we have in the area.

The accommodation

We offer two self catering cottages, each sleeping four - six people, in a recently converted stone barn in the traditional Welsh Longhouse style. The accommodation is accessible, and you can unload your luggage directly outside. There is wheelchair access to the rear of the cottages.

Both cottages have an open plan layout, with a generous kitchen and lounge area. There is also a ground floor cloakroom with w/c and basin. Each has a wood burning stove, and logs are provided for no extra charge when required. There is also a heater in the kitchen area for instant heat.

Modern appliances include a digital tv, dvd player, cd radio, toaster, microwave, electric hob and oven with grill, washing machine, fridge, freezer, iron and hairdryer. Wifi is available for no extra charge.

Upstairs, each cottage has three bedrooms - The Mill has a double, a bunk twin and a single - The Granary has a double and two single bedrooms. Both cottages also have a put up z-bed which are located downstairs in the open plan kitchen/dining area.

Each cottage has their own shower room with basin and wc.

There is a well equipped games room with table tennis, a darts board and pool table. There is also a selection of board games and a playstation 2 with various games for you to use.

An outdoor hot tub is also available on request.

Children are more than welcome and there is a safe, contained play area at the front of the cottages.

The location

The Mill Cottage is located 1 mile away from the picturesque village of Shirenewton, where you will find three village pubs. A little further in distance (approx. 4 miles) you will find the the towns of Chepstow and Caldicot.

Our area

Chepstow - A pretty little town with some great shops to explore. There are numerous pubs, resturants and winebars. Chepstow is also host to the historic Chepstow Castle. Sitting on the outskirts of Chepstow is the famous Chepstow racecourse, home to the Welsh Grand National.

Caldicot - Another little town close by to explore which is also host to another famous Caldicot Castle.

Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley are also within a 15 minute drive.

There are three beaches, all around an hour's drive away.

Notes

Prices include bed linen, electricity and logs for the woodburner. A deposit of £75 per week is required, and the balance due eight weeks before the arrival date.
