Our area

This is one of the most peaceful areas of Wales. It offers many scenic walks and the nearby Coed-y-Brenin Forest Centre is the base for the world-renowned mountain biking trails.

We are situated seven miles north of Dolgellau on the A490 towards Porthmadog, only a few metres from the Tarw mountain biking track and one mile up a track on the hillside opposite the famous Coed-y-Brenin biking centre.

Local attractions

Go-Ape is here at last. Castles, miles of sandy beaches and old market towns to visit. Just a walk away we have two wonderful waterfalls, the Rheadr Ddu on the Gamlan and Pistyll y Cain on the upper Mawddach river.

Eating out

There are loads of reliable restaurants but not within walking distance. The Forest Centre offers meals and there are two hotels/inns within three miles which we can recommend. Dolgellau has varied eating establishments well worth visiting.
