The Ferns Guest House is a friendly bed and breakfast situated in beautiful village of Betws-y-Coed, gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. The perfect base for your Snowdonia adventure or relaxing holiday.

The accommodation

There are seven comfortable en-suite bedrooms suitable for individuals, couples and families. Along with a hearty breakfast (vegetarian options available) your hosts will ensure that your stay is most memorable. We are perfectly situated for all the shops, restaurants, railway and major bus routes, including the Sherpa bus to Snowdon.

Breakfast is served in a spacious, attractive dining room with individual dining tables. Here you can enjoy fruits, cereals, local yogurts, toast and preserves, and a cooked breakfast prepared from the freshest local produce. Vegetarian or special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement. Packed lunches can be pre-ordered and flasks can be filled if required.

The Ferns Guest House is perfectly situated in an enviable position at the quieter edge of Betws-y-Coed, but still only a 5 minute stroll from the restaurants, shops, Snowdon Sherpa bus stop and railway station.

Our area

Betws-y-Coed is right in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park making it the ideal centre for touring and exploring this spectacular region. -Some of our more traditional activities such as walking, climbing, cycling, pony trekking, fishing and canoeing are all available close by, as well as some of our newer attractions such as Zipworld, Boiunce Below, Go Below, Surf Snowdonia and Antur Stiniog.

Betws-y-Coed is centrally located in North Wales, making it an excellent base for exploring our ancient castles and coasts to the north and west.

There is a superb range of specialty shops within walking distance of The Ferns, as well as a railway museum, art galeries, a nine hole golf course and the Snowdonia National Park visitor centre. There are also several highly recommended restaurants, table reservations can be made upon request. Betws-y-Coed is probably best known for its waterfalls - the Conwy Falls, the Miner's Bridge Falls with their large whirlpool known as Pwll Du, Swallow Falls and the Fairy Glen, where the river Conwy flows through a narrow gorge.
