Ridley's Residence stands in its own private grounds, with a summer house to relax in. This venue is suitable for summer and winter vacations.
Traditionally furnished in keeping with its period, the house has central heating and coal fires, and is fully equipped for disabled access. Bed and breakfast, half board and self catering options are available.
Abermynach is an old vicarage, just inside Snowdonia National Park. Situated three miles outside the popular town of Bala, Gwynedd.
There are four bedrooms, one double and one triple room have en-suite facilities. The accommodation can sleep a total of 9 people comfortably. The ground floor accommodation comprises a living room, 2 kitchens, a large dining room, a spacious lounge and a small study with a well stocked library.
Due to our new campsite, we can also offer combined camping and B&B accommodation which has proved popular with extended family groups.
Disabled Features
The main bathroom has a 'walk in' and/or wheelchair access, shower cubicle with seat facility.
A stair lift is fitted to the main stairway, and there are ramps to both the front and rear for access to the property.
All rooms have wide doors to accommodate wheelchair access, and are large and spacious for easy manoeuvrability. Similarly, the landings are long, straight and facilitate easy access.

The house is suitable for both winter and summer breaks, but a car is essential to make the most of this outstanding area.
Campsite with tent and caravan pitches
We also have a camp site - The Old Vicarage Camping - which accommodates two tourer pitches with hook-up and about 12 tent pitches. Facilities include two showers, and three toilets. Breakfasts available for campers.
Bala is an historical market town set on the edge of lake Llyn Tegid a favourite sailing and boating venue, yet only a few miles from the breathtaking scenery of Snowdon. It is a tourist hot spot, but is as yet unspoiled;an excellent position for exploring both the North and West coasts of Wales. It also boasts a modern leisure centre with a swimming pool.
The White Water centre at Llyn Celyn, (one mile) the Brenig Dam, (fishing) the Ffestiniog Slate Quarries and various narrow gauge railways (Bala lake, Tal-y-Llyn, Corris and Ffestiniog). King Arthur's Labyrinth and various woollen mills, castles at Harlech and Conwy, and other places of historic interest.
The well known tourist spot of Llangollen is 30 minutes away and the charming city of Chester can be reached in an hour.
Catering
We offer a range of evening meals - 3 courses for £12 per head. There are also a number of good restaurants locally, in particular The Eagles at Llanuwchlyn, and, in Bala, The White Lion, Plas-yn-dre, Awel yr Aran and Y Cwrt.
