Llangain Farmhouse and Barn

In a spectacular location with the most magical views, 1000ft above the Wye Valley and just 3 miles from Hay-on-Wye, Llangain Farmhouse and Barn offer comfortable, secluded self catering accommodation groups of up to 12 people, and can also be rented with Bullens Bank Cottage, which is just a minute up the track, for larger groups of up to 20. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walkers, and visitors can enjoy canoeing, pony trekking, parascending, golf, climbing and many outdoor pursuits in the area.

The accommodation

Llangain Farmhouse provides superbly converted accommodation for 6 to 8 people, in 4 bedrooms. It has a well equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, food processor, dining table and chairs, woodburning stove and storage heater.

The large, comfortably furnished sitting room has a sofa, sofa bed and armchairs, wood burning stove and storage heater.

The Barn, adjacent to the farmhouse, sleeps two in an open-plan mezzanine bedroom. The barn is attractively restored with visible beams and an L-shaped kitchen/living room of about 50 square yards. The kitchen has an electric cooker, armchair and a sofa bed, tv, piano, woodburning stove and storage heaters. The gallery bedroom has a 5ft double bed reached by a steep oak floor shower room with toilet, hand basin and heater.

The garden of half an acre has the most wonderful views, a sunny courtyard, barbecue, picnic tables, benches and soft reclining chairs.

Dating from the late 1700s, Llangain is in a secluded position and has been lovingly restored using excellent local craftsmen and Herefordshire Oak.

Bed linen is supplied, and logs and electricity are included in the price.
