Arwyn and Marian Lewis welcome you to Cwmgwyn Farm, a 17th Century farmhouse which is full of character, with exposed beams and plenty of country atmosphere. Cwmgwyn is a working farm rearing cattle and sheep. It is admirably situated with splendid views across the river Towy which runs through its 210 acres.

The accommodation

Bed and Breakfast

Residents can enjoy the relaxing comfort of the oak beamed lounge and dining area with an inglenook fire place and exposed natural stonework. A payphone is installed in the lounge.

We offer a delicious home cooked full traditional breakfast.

Bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished to exceptional standards. All three have a television, drinks making facilities and a hairdryer. Double or twin rooms are available, all with spacious en-suite bathrooms.

Holiday Cottage - sleeps 4

The cottage is on the upper level of the 17th Century barn. It is accessed by Welsh slate steps with oak banisters. It has been recently restored to a very high standard, retaining all the original oak beams complimented by Welsh oak floors and the original stone walk. The farm is in Red Kite country and is bordered by the River Towy with one mile of sewin and salmon fishing on both banks (to be discussed with us).

It sleeps four in two bedrooms; one double en-suite and one twin bedded with private bathroom. It also has a superbly equipped kitchen with built in electric cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, and sitting area with comfortable leather sofa and chairs, tv with video, and an electric log effect cast iron style black stove.

Downstairs is a utility area with washing machine/tumble drier and deep-freeze for successful anglers.

Full oil central heating and electricity is included. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Short breaks available from November to March.

The location

Guests can relax on the lawns or in the picnic area or enjoy a stroll down to the river bank, where they can take in the peace and tranquility of the country side. Swans, herons and the Red Kite are frequent visitors to this stretch of the river Towy.
