Ferryside grew from the now non-operational Ferry crossing on the river Tywi, on the ancient pilgrim's route to St David's Cathedral. It is uncommercialised, peaceful and quiet; the ideal getaway for a perfect weekend (or longer) break. It is also, because of its proximity to Carmarthen, Llanelli and other centres, an ideal corporate meeting place.

The National Botanical Gardens, Laugharne (famous for Dylan Thomas' Boathouse) and many Pembrokeshire attractions are about a half hour drive.

The hotel has 15 en-suite rooms, built and furnished in 2002 to the modern high standard of expectation.
