Inglewood House is in the Wye Valley village of Redbrook, right on on Offas Dyke on the English - Welsh border. The River Wye is just across the road, and at the end of our garden is the Royal Forest of Dean.

The accommodation

Dating from 1738, Inglewood House is a lovely old and very charactful house with many stairs and steps. Amongst its many interesting features are the circular staircase and portcullis gates, and fireplaces in the bedrooms. We have a woodburning stove in the guest's dining room which will be lit on cool mornings.

Mattresses are all pocket sprung and bed linen is Eygptian cotton. Towels are white large and fluffy, and home made cakes will be provided time permitting.

All rooms have televisions and wifi internet access.

We are happy to provide packed lunches on request though it is helpful to have notice if possible.

The location

Inglewood is two miles from Monmouth and seve miles from Tintern. Tintern Chepstow, Ross on Wye, Symonds Yat, Hereford, Ledbury, Ludlow, Abergavenny, Brecon, Gloucester, Hay on Wye, Bristol and Cardiff are all a very easy day out from here.

For walkers Offas Dyke runs along the back of the house and the Wye Way walk is to the front. There are many other walks from the doorstep.

Local activities include golf, canoeing, fly and river fishing, walking, road cycling, mountain biking, horse racing etc. We can provide storage for bikes/canoes etc.

There are many choices for child centred days out such as a maze, Butterfly farm, caves, visits to local castles and living history museums.

There are two pubs in the village serving food and many fine dining expereinces farther afield.

Food is locally sourced wherever possible and breakfasts can be adjusted to cater for special dietary needs.

Notes

A local masseur and beauty therapist is bookable to come to the house to provide treatments in your room.
