Glan Y Don

Glan y Don is a four bedroom house situated in the hamlet of Cwmtydu, set in a beautiful location some 50 metres from the shore in Cardigan Bay on Ceredigion's Heritage Coast. Cwmtydu is located between the villages of New Quay and Llangrannog, suitably signposted on an unclassified road, having turned off the A487 Aberystwyth to Cardigan road some one mile south of Synod Inn.

The accommodation

The house has modern amenities and is well equipped for a comfortable stay. It sleeps 6 people (4 adults maximum) in two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, a single bedroom and an additional cot room. Please note that cot linen is not supplied. The fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker and hob, microwave, fridge freezer and washer drier, comfortably seats 6 people.

The lounge has an electric heater (for extra warmth), payphone, television and DVD player with selection of dvds, and some board games and jigsaws should the children need entertaining.

We have a separate seating area, which makes a quiet retreat should parents (or grandparents) want to read or listen to music in peace.

The upstairs bathroom has recently been renovated and has a bath and separate shower cubicle and toilet. We havea downstairs toilet and shower room for the comfort of our guests.

The location

A wonderful location for a family holiday, it is also a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers. Its close proximity to signposted cliff walks (managed extensively by the National Trust) provides a chance to get close to nature as well as to see the seals and the bottlenose dolphins that frequent the bay. There are some lovely resorts and beaches as well as small market towns in its vicinity, with inns and restaurants in the area too. There are numerous attractions, places of interest and active pursuits to meet everyone's taste, all within driving distance of Cwmtydu.

Notes

Good quality bedding, duvets and bed linen are provided throughout. We request that you bring your own personal towels, however towels can be supplied by prior arrangement at an extra charge. The hot water system and heating (which is set to suit the season) is fuelled by oil and is included in the price of the holiday. We accommodate one pet with prior arrangement.

Bookings: All bookings to be confirmed with a 20% non refundable deposit. The balance of holiday payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. Late bookings and weekend breaks can also be accommodated for. A holiday let agreement form to be signed and returned prior to arrival.
