Gaer Farmhouse

A warm welcome awaits you at our bed and breakfast from Patricia and Phillip Harley. We also have a cottage for self catering breaks. Gaer Farm Bed and Breakfast is a lovingly converted, spacious stone and timber barn near Hundred House in Mid wales. It nestles in a quiet and scenic valley with panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

The accommodation

We have four rooms available for bed and breakfast guests: A first floor family room with a double and single bed and en-suite bathroom, a single room with en-suite shower, and Two doubles with en-suite showers. All have tea making facilities and a television.

Breakfast includes our home produced bacon, sausages and eggs. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement. Sitting time is 7pm. It is a three course meal with consideration for personal tastes. The vegetables are sourced locally if not from our garden, with the ingredients usually coming from the farm.

The location

Set in some of the most spectacular countryside in Mid Wales, with open natural moorland, rolling hills, oak and pine forests and spectacular lakeland scenery nearby, The Gaer is a working farm set in a stunning corner of a valley which is home to much wildlife including red kites, owls, buzzards and peregrines. Adults and children alike will enjoy our farm walk, and will meet the pigs, our ducks, hens, sheep and pedigree Dexter, Hereford and Longhorn cattle.

How to find us:

From Builth Wells: Take the A483 towards Llandrindod Wells. At Llanelwedd turn right onto the A481 towards Hundred House. Turn left in approx 2 miles sign posted Gaer Farm B&B. Follow brown B&B signs to farm.

From Llandrindod Wells: Take the A483 towards Builth Wells. At Howey turn left signposted Hundred House. Follow the road until you come to a sharp right bend with a T junction on a sharp left bend. Take the right turn (straight ahead) and follow the road until you see Gaer Farm B&B brown sign, follow these to farm.

From A44: After New Radnor take left turn onto A481 to Hundred House. Go through village towards Builth Wells until you see a brown sign Gaer Farm B&B. Follow brown B&B signs to farm.
