This wooden sign - dated 2009 - at the entrance to the village of Aberffraw, says 'Cartref Tywysogion Gwynedd', and the English version, 'Home of the Princes of Gwynedd'. This small village on the south western coast of Anglesey was, between the 7th and 13th Centuries, the capital of North Wales, and home of the Princes of Gwynedd.
